Boiler Installation

Holliday House Property Owners Association is preparing to replace the boiler and domestic hot water systems.  We expect the installation to take between four and seven days.  We are currently scheduled to complete the work between May 17 and May 31, weather permitting.  Please note; we are in the planning stage.  Specific details regarding dates will be distributed soon.

What this means to you:

The boiler will be shut down early this year.  We have been delaying the installation pending warmer weather.  In the event of adverse weather, your condo will not have heat.

Once the tear out begins, domestic hot water capacity will be dramatically reduced for the duration of the project.  In addition, hot water will be completely unavailable for at least one day.

We urge you to plan accordingly.

Note that the building experiences the highest hot water demand between approximately 5:30 and 8:00 am.  The hot water supply will be insufficient for normal demand.  There is a strong likelihood that there will be times when the hottest water available is “cool.”

For the duration of the project, please:

  • Take short showers.
  • Do not fill bathtubs.
  • Run dishwashers at night.
  • Conserve hot water wherever possible.

Again, our engineers and installers are ironing out details regarding dates.  We will let you know once we have a firm schedule set.
