Washer Operating Instructions

Please Note: While Holliday House utilizes two generations of Speed Queen front-load washing machines, their operation is fundamentally similar. Minor differences include the height of the washers, and the location of some control buttons.

Load Laundry

load

Load items loosely into wash drum (maximum capacity is 21 pounds [9.5 kg] of dry clothes).

IMPORTANT: Remove all objects from laundry to avoid tears, rips, and other damage during machine operation.

NOTE: Small items such as baby socks may get caught around the door. Place these articles inside a mesh garment bag.

NOTE: When washing bulky items such as blankets and comforters, use the DELICATES/BULKY cycle. The cycle includes agitation and final spin speeds that maintain the load’s balance and minimize wear to the articles.

NOTE: Different fabrics will have different densities and loads must be adjusted accordingly to meet machine loading specifications shown.

door

Close Washer Door

Close loading door tightly. The washer will not operate with the loading door open.

    1. Liquid HE Detergent
    2. Liquid Bleach
